PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

Isca (Iain James Veitch) (for flute, viola and harp) is a three movement sonata lasting about 18 minutes.

This publication comprises a full score and individual parts for flute, viola and harp. Although the harp could be played from the full score the harp part has more convenient page turns.

Isca is Latin for ‘by the river’. It is also the Roman name for Caerleon - the home place of Sarah Broder, the flautist who commissioned the work. The music is nearly always flowing and lyrical.

The first performance was given by Trio Tonnau: Sarah Broder (flute), Gwen Haf-Richards (viola) and Fantane Liang (harp) at the Birmingham Conservatoire on May 3rd 2007.

A recording performed by Catherine Handley (flute), Mathew Jones (viola) and Huw Webb (harp) is available.
