Composed in 2022, but with words dating back to the 15th century. The title character is a personification of the holiday season who arrives to announce the birth of Christ and invite everyone to "make good cheer and be right merry” Perhaps a precursor Father Christmas.
First performed in a version for choir and wind band, 10th December 2022, Llandaff Cathedral, Llandaff Cathedral Choral Society and the Capital Youth Concert Band.
